Livingstone Mphahlele Biography
Nkgodisheng Livingstone Mphahlele is a seasoned professional with a deep-seated passion for innovation, youth development, and community empowerment. As the CEO of AlgoAtWork Robotics Academy, Livingstone guides the strategic direction of the academy, ensuring its position as a leader in robotics education and AI technology.
Livingstone brings to the table more than a decade of experience in various sectors, including renewable energy, management consulting, education, training, and NGOs. His career is marked by a consistent drive to enact positive change, characterized by his roles in project management, business development, and socioeconomic development consulting. His significant contributions to the renewable energy sector, especially his consulting role in the Feasibility Study on Programmatic financing of renewable energy and energy efficiency in the South African market, demonstrate his dynamic approach to sustainable development.
A co-founder of innovative coal mining projects, Livingstone played a pivotal role in securing SEED capital investment from CSIR and Technology Innovation Agency. As a Special Project and Partnerships Lead in his previous role, he successfully initiated new programmes, fostered corporate partnerships, managed key stakeholders, and executed robust fundraising strategies.
Livingstone’s educational background, which includes a Bachelor of Arts in Development Studies and an Honours degree in Public Management and Governance from the University of Johannesburg, has informed his holistic approach to leadership. Currently, he is also pursuing a Master of Management in Innovation Studies at Wits University.
In his current position at AlgoAtWork Robotics Academy, Livingstone works closely with co-founders Langa Zulu and Tshega Mampshika, the Chief Creative Officer and Chief Technology Officer respectively. Together, they are dedicated to cultivating a learning environment that equips students with the tools necessary to excel in a technologically advanced future.
Livingstone’s work is not solely focused on the corporate world. He also volunteers as a mentor at Sekhukhune TVET College’s Centre of Entrepreneurship Incubator, lending his expertise to emerging entrepreneurs.Livingstone’s dynamic leadership, innovative thinking, and commitment to youth empowerment position him as a driving force within AlgoAtWork Robotics Academy and the wider technological community.
